Town Hall on Property Tax Elimination Saturday, Sept. 13, from 9-10:30 a.m. at Chapel Church of Red Lion, 3050 Cape Horn Road This session, I will re-introduce former Rep. Frank Ryan’s House Bill 13, which is a comprehensive plan to eliminate school property taxes in Pennsylvania. The current rate at which school property taxes are increasing is unsustainable. If this persists, Pennsylvanians will continue to lose their homes or choose to leave the Commonwealth. The most recent demographic outlook shows a rapidly expanding retiree population whose growing costs fall on a shrinking working-age population. My legislation would ensure no single demographic group in this Commonwealth shoulders the entire burden of this tax elimination. I will be hosting an in-person town hall to discuss this legislation with constituents and answer any questions or concerns you have. You can get an idea of how your taxes would change under my legislation by visiting www.noprop.tax/the-plan/estimate-taxes. You will need to know your annual income, property taxes paid annually and your retirement income. RSVP by calling 717-244-9232 or click here. |
