We Must Protect Life in PA

Oct. 04, 2024 / Embed

It's time to get real about abortion in Pennsylvania. In this Commonwealth, it is legal to abort a baby up to six months old, which is the developmental stage of the model I'm holding. A baby this age can survive outside the womb. We must protect life. We must be a voice for the unborn.

What Government Should Be Doing

I continue to be frustrated by the amount of time wasted in Harrisburg. This week, 50% of our votes in the Democrat-controlled House were for resolutions, which designate special days and celebrations rather than address critical issues our constituents are facing. It's time to tackle real policy priorities like property tax relief, inflation and more.

Fink Votes No On Spending Spree Budget

Jul. 11, 2024 / Embed

On July 11, I voted against a $47.6 billion budget that will lead to tax increases in as little as two years. I believe government must learn from those it serves and budget conservatively, as Pennsylvanians across the state are tightening their belts to afford necessities during this period of high inflation. Government has failed to do the same.

Fink Reacts to 2024-25 State Budget Passage

Jul. 11, 2024 / Embed

The budget approved in the state House on June 11 is a budget by politicians, for politicians. I voted "no" to shield taxpayers from future tax increases.

America First Caucus Shares Independence Day Message

Each year on July 4, we celebrate our nation's independence from Great Britain. I joined fellow members of the America First Caucus of PA to highlight our priorities and wish you a happy and safe Independence Day.

Fink Opposes Unaffordable, Unaccountable Education Spending Plan

Jun. 10, 2024 / Embed

The House Democrats’ education funding plan sinks more taxpayer dollars into a failing system. Our education system should place students first, and tailor itself to their unique way of learning. As a former educator, I will continue to advocate for choice and fiscal responsibility for the future of our students and taxpayers alike. We cannot afford to double down on an unaffordable, unaccountable plan for Pennsylvania.

Democrat Speaker of the House Shuts Down Debate and Ideas From Across the Aisle

May. 21, 2024 / Embed

During our 30-minute session, the Democrat Speaker of the House once again shut down ideas from across the aisle. We were elected to debate ideas and vote on whether they will improve the lives of our constituents. This is not happening in the House chamber. We need leadership that has a desire to do the will of the people, not the will of the party. It is time for politics to step off the floor.

House Resolutions Divide, Not Unite

May. 15, 2024 / Embed

The House has considered many resolutions this session that dedicate a specific day or month to a certain religious group, disease or person. This forces people to choose what groups they identify with and distract from what we all truly are, Americans and Pennsylvanians.

House Resolutions are Not Bills

May. 15, 2024 / Embed

Resolutions have been dominating conversation in the statehouse. These are feel-good proclamations that designate a day or month in honor of a specific group or person. I have been voting and will continue to vote “no” on all resolutions that do not honor law enforcement or veterans. These men and women who sacrificed for our Commonwealth and country deserve that recognition. All other topics, in my opinion, do not fall under the purview of government.

Elections Must Be Free and Fair

An audit of the Statewide Uniform Registry of Electors (SURE) system conducted five years ago unveiled a host of issues. A vendor was hired in 2022 to work on those problems; however, the vendor contract was sold a week later to another company and no work has since been done to correct the reported issues. According to Department of State Secretary Al Schmidt, a new vendor will be hired this summer and then the updates will begin. The Department of State (DOS) needs to correct these issues with SURE before the 2024 General Election. The secretary's answers to my questions about the SURE system updates do not inspire confidence about this upcoming election.
