HARRISBURG – Reps. Joe D’Orsie (R-Manchester), Seth Grove (R-Dover), Dawn Keefer (R-Dillsburg), Kate Klunk (R-Hanover), Mike Jones (R-York Township) and Wendy Fink (R-Red Lion) are pleased to announce Junior Achievement of South Central Pennsylvania (JASCPA) will be receiving a jobs training grant from the state Department of Education that will enhance the services already taking place in the classrooms.

The grant, totaling $625,000, will allow the school districts in York County, and the 13 other counties served by JASCPA, to take advantage of educational programs and provide students with opportunities to learn from industry professionals.

"Junior Achievement impacts students far beyond the classroom, and we are excited York County students will see enhanced learning opportunities as a result of this grant," the representatives said. "By imparting practical skills, students are better prepared for successful, family-sustaining careers. We look forward to seeing how the grant dollars are invested for the betterment of local students."

JASCPA is headquartered in York and serves 95 school districts in 14 counties. In 2023-24, JASCPA reached nearly 110,000 students in both private and public schools, Pre-K to 12th grade. Nationally, Junior Achievement reaches over 3 million students per year in 127,817 classrooms and after-school locations.
