Fink, D’Orsie to Host School Choice Fair
HARRISBURG – With the popularity of school choice at an all-time high, Reps. Wendy Fink (R-Red Lion) and Joe D’Orsie (R-Manchester) will host a school choice fair on Saturday, Aug. 5.

“Various surveys have shown that roughly eight out of 10 Pennsylvanians support school choice,” D’Orsie said. “Knowing there is interest in educational options, Wendy and I decided to hold a school choice fair to bring opportunities to students and parents.”

The free fair will be held at Fink’s office, 100 Redco Ave. in Red Lion, on Saturday Aug. 5, from 9-11 a.m.

The representatives will briefly discuss school choice and highlight the many options available to Pennsylvania students and families. Several homeschool co-ops as well as charter, cyber charter and parochial schools will be on hand to introduce their schools and explain the educational opportunities they provide, as well as answer questions.

“Parents know their children’s needs best and should be empowered to make decisions that support their unique learning style,” said Fink. “This fair is all about educating parents and students so they know their options and can make the best choices for their students. I’m happy to be offering this event for our community.”
