Survey on the Cuffs Run Project Proposal

I want to hear your thoughts about the proposed Cuffs Run hydroelectric storage pump project that has been proposed in Chanceford Township.

This is the fourth time the Cuff’s Run project has applied for a Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) permit. In the past, it has undergone the studies required for the permitting process, but those studies are over 20 years old, so they would have to be redone before approval is given to the project. The last time this project applied for a FERC permit, it was shut down due to strong opposition and overwhelming public comment.

There is already a hydroelectric power station just one mile south of this location (Safe Harbor Dam), and there is also a reservoir at Muddy Run just south of the location which is across the river and just outside the district.

I am strongly opposed to this project as it would jeopardize 1,000 acres of vital farmland and the livelihoods of my constituents who live in Chanceford Township and the rest of District 94, but I also want to hear your thoughts. Please fill out the survey below to let me and my office know how you feel about this proposal.
